Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche

Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse RinpocheRinpoche was born in Bhutan in 1961. He was recognized as an incarnation of Khyentse Chokyi Lodro, and received empowerments and teachings from many of the great masters of the day, such as HH 16th Karmapa and HH Dudjom Rinpoche. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was his root teacher.

Rinpoche has been active in preserving Buddhist texts since a young age, and has established several centres of learning in the Himalayan region. Rinpoche is also engaged in supporting practitioners, making movies, providing education for vulnerable children, publishing books and, in accordance with the wishes of his teachers, travels all over the world to offer teachings and guidance on the Buddhist path. 

Siddhartha's Intent is the umbrella organization that oversees  Rinpoche's worldwide network of Dharma centres, while the non-profit organization Lotus Outreach represents Rinpoche's aspirations to improve the living conditions of vulnerable children and their communities through education and healthcare. 

Rinpoche is known for his outstanding ability to make the Dharma accessible and understandable to audiences of all walks of life. In this capacity, he moves uninhibited between the great centres of learning in the West and Far East to humble villages in the Himalayas, and freely offers advice and teachings to anyone who sincerely seeks to walk the path of  Gautama Buddha and to uncover their inner wealth of boundless wisdom and compassion.
